My name is Angela and I will be graduating from Makami College with a 3000 hr advanced clinical massage therapy diploma in February 2018.
Health and wellness have always been a passion of mine. I was raised in a health conscious home where my mom taught me to be responsible for my own health by cooking home cooked meals, growing a garden and being active. I continued to pursue this passion by taking several courses in nutrition including earning a diploma in holistic nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
Although I believe massage therapy falls under the banner of holistic wellness I was never really interested in it until my husband was in a car accident and suffered injuries that prevented him from working. Watching him go through a lot of pain and several different treatments with not a lot of success left us searching for answers. It was in this search that I found an interest in how the body moves and in how much massage therapy could make an impact in the healing process, and in decreasing pain and allowing the body to move more freely. I'm a firm believer that our bodies were meant to heal themselves when stricken with injuries or sickness if we give them the right tools to do so. I have seen that massage therapy is one of those tools. I look forward to meeting you.
